Installation and System Requirements

Installing SubSim

To install SubSim, simply double-click on the installation file, and an installation wizard will guide you trough the installation process.

System Requirements

SubSim has been tested on the Windows XP and Windows 98 Second Edition operating systems, on both Intel Pentium and AMD Athlon processors.

An OpenGL 1.3 compliant graphics card must be present for the SubSim to display graphics. The graphics card must support:

• 32bit color surfaces
• 16 bit depth buffer
• Alpha blending
• Mip-mapping
• p-Buffer and offscreen rendering support

SubSim has been tested with the following graphics cards:

• nVidia Geforce FX
• nVidia Geforce 4Ti
• nVidia Geforce 4MX
• ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP
• Chips and Technologies 65555 (Intel/Asiliant Technologies)

The following compilers are supported by subsim:

• Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 7.1

The minimum recommended CPU requirements are a Pentium/Athlon 1500 or above with 128mb RAM and at least 150 MB of free hard drive space

SubSim supports the following input file formats for its resources:

• Milkshape 3D graphical model files
