Unless otherwise stated, the following assessment regulations
apply for my courses:
- exams are "open book"
this means you may bring whatever material you like (books, photocopies,
handwritten notes, calculators, etc.) in any quantity that you can
carry. However, you cannot share with classmates.
- late assigments
all assigments and lab assignments have a due date written on them,
the daytime of which will be mentioned in class. The rule for
handing in late assignments is you lose 20% of whatever the assignment
is worth per day (or a fraction of a day) late.
That means 5 days late is equivalent to 0.
- group work
in first year courses, lab assignments are to be solved by goups of two
In second, third, and fourth year courses lab assignments have to
be solved individually.
if student seminar talks are part of a particular course, presentation
dates are scheduled in the beginning of the semester and cannot be
changed later on.
