Fuse on EyeBot MK3
------------------

The fuse (F1) is above the power switch (SW1) on the top
of the mainboard and can be 3-4 Amps.
The fuse will blow if the Battery is not connected correctly
to protect the mainboard.

If this has happened check that diode D2 (above the fuse)
is not short circuited. D2 is a 3 Amp fast recovery diode.

Part numbers for replacement:
Fuse 3A part no. FEC 975-321
[if necessary also: Diode RS3B part no. FEC 547-098]

Please note:
Any fast 3-4 Amp fuse can be used as replacement.
Do not use a bare wire instead of a fuse,
because then the whole controller won't be protected
against false polarity and too high current.

From hardware version 3.12 on, the fuse has been replaced
by a reconstituting poly-switch (e.g. Farnell 131-724).
If a too high current occurs, the switch cuts power --
after about 5 min. the switch will return to the normal
state. No fuse-replacement is necessary!
