==============================
Which is the correct HEX file?
==============================

(A) Operating System
--------------------
This directory contains several variations of the latest
RoBIOS operating system, indicated by the number in the file
name (e.g. 52 is version 5.2). You have to install the RoBIOS
version that matches the camera you are using with the
controller (if you do not use a camera, any one is fine):

rob52f.hex For an M4 controller WITH FIFO buffer and
            either EyeCam C1 or EyeCam C2

rob52e.hex	For an M4/M3 controller with EyeCam C1 (no FIFO buffer)

rob52q.hex For an M4/M3/M2 controller with QuickCam (color or gray)

(B) Hardware Description Table (HDT)
------------------------------------
The HDT file determines what sensors and actuators are
connected to the controller. You can update your own,
see examples in mc/hdtdata directory. You can also modify
startup screen and melody.

hdt-std2003.hex Standard HDT with common settings
hdt-socbot2003.hex Specialized HDT for SoccerBot robot

(C) Demo Programs
-----------------
One of the EyeBot's Flash-ROM slots is usually used for demo
programs that can be activates with the "Demo" button from the
main menu. (Of course you can also write your own demos and store
it under that name.) You can either use:

demos.hex  Uncompressed version (ASCII)
demos.hx   Compressed version (binary)

Compressed files can be handled by RoBIOS 5.0 and higher.
The Operating system itself is also available in compressed
version (e.g. upgrade via download) and uncompressed version
(e.g. restoration via BDM).
