gqcam 0.4
---------

This is gqcam version 0.4. Gqcam is a QuickPict type program for Linux.
For those of you that don't know, QuickPict is the software that comes
with a Connectix QuickCam with which one can take pictures under various
slow operating systems. Luckily for the rest of us, there is now gqcam.
It is written in C using the GTK+ widget set (http://www.gtk.org) and the
Video4Linux interface to the Quickcam. It is slowly gaining all of the
features of the original QuickPict, and will soon have new ones added.
Currently it probably only works with the black and white version of the
camera (see below). For information on compiling gqcam and getting it to
run, see the file INSTALL.

Overall
-------
At the moment this code is still very developmental. I am releasing it to
get feedback on it and see what people think of it. I realize that it
needs a _lot_ of cleaning up and a few things could be done better. I am
open to suggestions on anything that looks _really_ funky...

Note
----
Gqcam is written using the Video4Linux interface to the QuickCam. Since
it uses V4L, and the V4L interface is standardized for all of the video
sources it supports, this could in theory work with more than just the
Black and White Quickcam. However, I made a bunch of assumptions that
mostly restrict it too the BW QuickCam. So unless you find another camera
that is greyscale, takes pictures at 320x240, 160x120, and 80x60, supports
6bpp and 4pp, then you had better stuck with the BW QuickCam...
